Dear Babasaheb -- My MOTHER Gave Me Birth, But YOU Gave Me Right To Live.

Jai bheem...!!!

Tribute to Revolutionary Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

"Many leaders have born,
Many leaders have gone.
Different in different among them,
You are the symbol of 'Jewel' and 'Radiant'..!

Sparkling is not a mere one.
Remember it changes the world.
Like you 'Spark' us,
And it made you 'trait'...!

You suffered too for Untouchability in your life.
It rendered you and fought to free.
You dream,"Constitutional Rights" was the only path.
And you made admitted in it.

You dedicated too for 'Constitution Making'.
Hard work made you Just pain.
But Mr. GANDHI's gloat gloat on Poona pact.
It made you too mental pain than body.

The sun plays gloom on a day.
Alas.!! You passed away in sleep.
Mumbai crowd,not to be thousands,
Lakhs of people in Funeral march not yet none for anyone.

My MOTHER gave me birth;
But YOU gave me Right to live in this world.
'Love,Commitment' you gave whole life.
It made you as "Babasaheb"
How can I forget you today..????

Perunthalaivar Prof. M. C. Rajah -- The First Leader Who Organized The Scheduled Classes At The National Level In India.

Ambedkar and M. C. Rajah (2nd row, left and right corner)

Prof. M. C. Rajah was the National Leader and forerunner to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in his day. In fact Perunthalaivar M. C. Rajah was the first leader who organized the Scheduled Classes at the national level in India, and the most prominent Scheduled Classes leader of pre-independent India. He was the pioneer of Mid-day Meal Scheme in India.

Facts About Prof. M. C. RAJAH:
Born- 17 June 1883.
Died- 23 August 1943.
Full Name- Mylai Chinnathambi Rajah (M. C. RAJAH).
In Tamil 'Perunthalaivar' means 'Great Leader'.

Perunthalaivar M.C. Rajah

Perunthalaivar M. C. Rajah was one of the earliest known degree holders from the Scheduled Classes of India. He was educated at the Madras Christian College, Chennai. He started his career as Teacher and then Professor. He was keen cricketer, a poet. As an educationist, he gave more importance to education. He served on various educational committees. In 1917, he was nominated by Lord Pentland to the Elementary Education Committee. In 1919, he served on the select committee of the Elementary Education Bill. He was also a member of the Secondary Education Reorganization Committee etc., In 1924, Lord Wellingdon nominated him to the Senate of Madras University. He wrote books on English and Tamil Grammar, Logic, Philosophy and Psychology. His books were prescribed as text books in elementary schools like 'Neethimarga Kathaikalum Padalgalum' (Ethics, Parables and Songs). Some other books are 'The Oppressed Hindus, Kindergarten Room, King George-V etc.,

He participated in various agitations such as temple entry agitation, change of nomenclature, civil rights etc., He was one of the founder members of the Justice Party. In 1918, he met the South Borough Committee and appealed for the right to vote and representation in the legislatures. In 1919, he met Meston committee and succeeded in getting the famous Meston award. It was because of M. C. Rajah and Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan, for the first time in India the Communal representation for the Scheduled Classes given under the Act of 1919. So, the Scheduled Classes were nominated to the Provincial Legislatures from 1920. [ Provincial Legislatures: Madras- 10, CP- 4, Bengal- 1, UP- 1, Bihar- 2 and Bombay- 2 ] The Government of India Act of 1919 made provisions for the grant of 10 nominated seats to them in the Madras Legislature. Before this, there was no representation to the Scheduled Classes in India. Later M. C. Rajah was the first member of the Scheduled Classes in India to be elected to the Legislature (Madras Legislative Council). He urged representation to the Scheduled Classes in Public Service also. He argued that the predominance of any particular class in the Public Services was danger to the country.

He was the first person who demanded 'Separate Electorates' for the Scheduled Classes in India. Also he was the first member of the Scheduled Classes in India to be the Member of Central Legislative Assembly (1927 to 1937). In 1937, he was appointed as a Minister for Development in the Interim's Government in Madras under the Chief Minister of K.V. Reddy. He demanded representation in all the councils of the country and in all Local Bodies.

In 1925, Perunthalaivar M. C. Rajah formed the first national level Scheduled Classes organization named 'All India Depressed Classes Association' at Nagpur. Khemchand Bohare from Agra was elected its Vice-President and Ganesh Gawai of Amravati as its General Secretary.

Begum Suhrawardy, Rajagopal, Mrs and Mr. Rao Bahadur M.C. Rajah
(Left to Right)

In 1930-31 Round Table Conferences were held in London where the separate electorate was confirmed for the Depressed Classes. This ideology was first mooted and strongly supported by M. C. RAJAH. Originally Perunthalaivar M.C. Rajah stood for the Separate Electorates and Dr. Ambedkar for the Joint Electorates with Adult Suffrage and Reservation of seats. But Dr. Ambedkar changed his state of mind to the separate electorate, putting forth separate electorates as an united demand of the then Depressed Classes due to the pressure from M.C. Rajah and Madras Presidency Organisations in 1931. However M.C. Rajah changed his mind to Joint Electorates with reserved seats on population basis, due to less representation of the Minority Pact of 1931.

The change in the nomenclature of Paraih, Mala, Madiga, Holeyas etc., into a racial common name as Adi-Dravida, Adi-Andhra, Adi-Karnataka were done as a result of the concentrated efforts taken by M. C. Rajah in 1922. For the first time in India 'The Untochability Abolition Bill of 1933' was introduced by him in Central Legislative Assembly at Delhi on 24th March, 1933. But it was opposed by the orthodox Hindus. He raised strong objection to Mr. Gandhi's calling the name Harijans to the Scheduled Classes.

Both Dr. Ambedkar and Perunthalaivar M.C. Rajah were worked together except in 1932 and 1935-36. There was no longer difference of opinion between Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Perunthalaivar M. C. Rajah. Together they advanced the various tasks. We can find the coalition between them in Sir Stafford Cripps Mission, 1 April 1942. Till his death, M.C. Rajah collaborated with Ambedkar. In November, 1938, M.C. Rajah made a fervent 'Plea for a separate Scheduled Caste party'. Both M. C. Rajah and Dr. Ambedkar were served in the National Defence Advisory Committee. When Thanthai Sivaraj and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar founded the All India Scheduled Castes Federation in 1942, he supported it later.

Perunthalaivar M.C. Rajah
When the Cripps Mission visited India under the chairmanship of Cripps in March 1942 to negotiate for a future constitution of India, Prof M. C. Rajah and Dr. Ambedkar represented the Scheduled Classes of India. For this reason they were bitterly against by Jagjivan Ram's All India Depressed Classes League. On 28 March 1942 the General Secretary of the All India Depressed Classes League said, "Dr. Ambedkar and M. C. Rajah may represent their particular caste but they have no locus standi to represent all the depressed classes of India."

He died on Monday, 23 August 1943 at the age of 60 at his house in Chennai. To honour his works, B.S. Murthy founded the M.C. Rajah Memorial Hostel for the college students of the Scheduled Classes in 1944 at Saidapet in Madras.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in his 'What Congress and Gandhi have done to the Untouchables ?' wrote: "The only leading member from the Untouchable community was the late Dewan Bahadur M. C. Rajah. He was a nominated member of the Central Assembly from 1927. He had nothing to do with the Congress either inside or outside the Assembly. Indeed, he was not merely a critic of the Congress but its adversary. He stood for separate electorates for the Untouchables to which the Congress was bitterly opposed."

Revolutionary Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's Role For 'Maternity Benefit Act' And 'Equal Pay For Equal Work Irrespective of The Sex'.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and Women

1) Maternity Benefit Act:
I don't know how many Indian women knows that the contribution of Revolutionary Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's major role for the Maternity Benefits bill in the Bombay legislature in July, 1928 itself for the factory women workers. In fact it was the first Maternity Benefits Act passed in India in 1929 by the Bombay legislature. On this regard he said, "I believe that it is in the interests of the nation that the mother ought to get a certain amount of rest during the pre-natal period and also subsequently. I am prepared to admit this fact because the conservation of the people's welfare is primarily the concern of the Government. And in every country, therefore, where the maternity benefit has been introduced, you will find that the Government has been subjected to a certain amount of charge with regard to maternity benefit. I think, therefore, the benefits contemplated by this bill ought to be given by this Legislature to the poor women who toil in our factories in this Presidency." Subsequently the Madras Maternity Benefit Act was passed by the Madras Legislature Council in 1934 and subsequently in other provinces of India. As a Labour Minister in the Viceroy executive council between 1942 and 1946, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was instrumental in bringing the Mines Maternity Benefit Bill for women in all over India. Under this act, a woman working in the mine is entitled to maternity benefit for a period of 8 weeks. This period of 8 weeks is divided into two parts of four weeks each, one part preceding delivery and another part succeeding delivery. Later all the acts of Maternity Benefit of various states were repealed and a common Maternity Benefit Act-1961 was adopted by the Central Government for all states in India. 2) Equal pay for equal work irrespective of the sex: Revolutionary Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the first person who brought "Equal pay for equal work irrespective of the sex" in India in terms of Industrial workers as a Labour Minister in the Viceroy executive council. On this regard he said, "We have also taken care to see, and this is an important point, that women shall be paid the same wages as men. It is for the first time that I think in any industry the principle has been established of equal pay for equal work irrespective of the sex."
While drafting the Indian Constitution, Dr. Babasaheb played major contribution for embodied the Article 39(d) relates the state to strive for securing equal pay for equal work of both men and women in the Part IV of the directive principles of the State Policy. Ambeth. Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu.

For Those Half-Baked Fellows Who Always Keep Shouting Against The 'Reservation System In India'.

Now-a-days many fellows are barking about the Reservation System in India. Many Congenital idiots have no knowledge about the Reservation System, simply they are now talking about the anti-Reservation. Some Ignominious fellows even further claim without baseless coating and spraying the nonsense word over some particular section. I frankly state here for those who against the Reservation. You people before talk about the reservation first go and brush your knowledge and study for one whole day about the history of the reservation, what reservation mean like that. If you do not understand about reservation, then broad yourself. First of all the reservation is not about any mercy basis for some particular section. Reservation is not about any concession basis. Reservation is the only rectification for the historical injustice heaped upon the some section. The aim of the reservation is to increase the social and educational status of the economically weaker section. Reservation based on population proportion helps to bring the unequal to equals. So they can take their rightful place in the Indian society. Simply its a right and rectification of the historical injustice and hence it is a debt that has to be paid to them. For more than thousand years you congenital idiots were draining their bloods and denied the education to them. You created this caste system and sucks their bloods. Tell me who created the barbaric caste system culture? Now-a-days you people are barking about the anti Reservation. First come forward for extrude the caste system, then talk about the reservation. I am sure Reservation system will be prevailing, till Untouchability and the Caste system exists. I have the slightest doubt, is it really blood flows in your body or sewer flows in your body in place of blood? What irritate me more means, some fellows behave like a jabber here. The reservation has been given in more than twelve forms under Political and Education (Job and Institutions) by the Constitution of India. Here you silly people mention only one about Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes. No one mention about the Other Backward Classes, although OBC SHUDRAS are the higher benefit of these Reservation in both Tamil Nadu state level and National level. ( In Tamil Nadu the Shudras are called as Backward class and Most Backward class)

Reservation policy in Tamil Nadu as:
General – 31%,
O.B.C ( BC and M.B.C) – 50%,
SC – 18% and
ST – 1%.

Reservation policy in all India (Central Govt) as:
General – 50.5%,
O.B.C – 27%,
SC – 15%,
ST – 7.5%

Based on their population proportion. Almost past 93 years, these OBC section in Tamil Nadu licking the taste and enjoying benefits of reservation quota and they now claimed Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes alone gained reservation.

Tell me who takes the reservation in Tamil Nadu too. Where you all gone when the OBC reservation bill introduced in the Lok Sabha 2007. Today these OBC brethren are the worst Casteist in Tamil Nadu and India level than others. They themselves thought they are higher than Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes. By licking these reservation OBC brethren somehow developed today. You OBC SHUDRAS section in Tamil Nadu, before talk the anti-reservation first think at what heuristic strata you people before 70 years. You were all occupied just 4% in government jobs, rest 95% occupied by Brahmins. You Backward and Most backward class having alone enjoyed the quota. You have no shame on yourselves that now portray as higher class. If you all people no need reservation, first you all must tear yours BC and MBC Caste certificates and apply for the open quota i,e 31% which allocated in Tamil Nadu instead applying in BC and MBC quotas in both Educational Institutions and Government Jobs.
Some people thought themselves as they are over smart. They said that it effects the merits. Let me what merit mean. Another group said that the caste starts from the school level and government itself issued what caste certificate. Hey Nonsense, your parents alone teach you what caste you are. Caste starts from your family alone. You people have no problem for the Caste based society. You people have no problem for the Caste based relations among yourselves. You people have no problem for the Caste based Marriage. You people have no problem for the Caste based graveyard. You people have no problem for the Caste based house rentals. You people have no problem when they are denied access to drinking water. You people have no problem when they are victims of violence and atrocities both at home and outside. You people have no problem for the priest from one caste alone. These bondage even death brings no end. Tell me how many idiots negate the Caste based society or Caste based relations among yourselves or Caste based Marriage in India….???? Why my beloved Indians don’t negate it…???

Many says, "Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar created the reservation only for ten years”. Did they ever read or know about what Poona Pact mean? If not, first go and read at least about what the Poona Pact mean and broad yourself who created the present form of reservation. Of course it was created by Mr. Gandhi who fast unto death and denied the rights of Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes section from the separate representation. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar voiced for the separate representation only. Remember it is a Political Representation. The then Prime Minister of Britain, Ramsay Macdonald agreed it for not only Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes but also for Muslims, Sikhs, Anglo-Indians and Christians. Gandhi had no problem for the separate representation to Muslims and Sikhs but against the separate representation to Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes, Anglo-Indians and Christians. No such dark face of Gandhi was screened in Gandhi film. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar wished to end up the reserved constituency only after 10 years. Because he believed that they point out their voices of their problems in Parliament and state legislatures. But the result was different. Instead they were all chanting for their representing parties. In terms of education and jobs, he never said to end up after 10 years. He wished, Reservation system will be prevailing, till Untouchability and the Caste system exists.
Many criticized about the cut-off marks that Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes students will have to score minimum marks than others. Why not many of my colleagues asked me such like. I ask them, do they know about cut-marks to the BL degree in Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University…??? If not, let they broad themselves.

The cut-off marks are:
OC - 83.12%,
SC -77.50%,
BC - 67.62%,
MBC – 64.37% and
ST - 45. 27%.

Do they know about the medical cut-off in Tamil Nadu ( in Madras Medical College, Chennai )…??? If not, let know it.
For OC – 199.75%,
BC – 199.50%,
MBC – 199.25%,
SC – 198.75%,
ST – 199.75%

Go and see the cut-off required for Medical in Tamil Nadu. According to the census of India, the rate of literacy among the Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes is lower than others in India.

Almost for the past two thousand years, they are the people has been facing a number of social problems. You people have no problem about the Casteism which is a cruel social system that cause of most evils in India, for it suppresses Scheduled Class / Scheduled Tribes denies them the opportunity to grow as humans. Do you know about my Dharmapuri issue (Tamil Nadu) in 2012…???? Do you know about Paramakudi massacre, Kodiyankulam, Kelvenmani, Mudhukuladhur, Thamiraparani issue in Tamil Nadu, Lakshmipeta, Karamchandi issue in Andhra, Belchi issue in Bihar, Khiralanji issue in Maharashtra etc., Even normal rights are denied to them by the Idiots in India. The insults, inhuman atrocities against continue till date. The torture and the most brutal killing more over till exists. The Caste consciousness is ingrained in Corpuscle of every people and reflected in his conduct. Untouchability prevailed more in India but no one talk about it. Have any succeeded in driving away this monster so called Casteism...??? Has the inequality vanished...??? To me, the answers to these questions are surely Negative. Untouchability still existence today in the name of pathetic modernization. Why after 66 years of Independent India still faces caste based atrocities...??? Is it modern world...??? Can those who shout against reservation able to answer why after these 66 years independence we still have inequality on social, economical, political, cultural platform..?? Why still we face cast base atrocities..?? Why do we find only some section in monial jobs today...??? Before talk about reservation, ask your parents and grandparents and slap them if they didn’t thought about the deserving person who was washing your streets. Why you people didn’t thought about the economic way at that time. Go and visit one slum area, why not come to my village in Dharmapuri district of Tamil nadu. Read one whole week and then talk about reservation. If all you deserving people are right then slap yourself for the corruption and discrimination you people have generated. If you people are better and deserving then go and ask your other deserving fellow to clean your city sitting in office otherwise slap yourself. Mere talking will nothing make any great impact to the barbaric Indian Society. Since Caste is the normal Indian life. Caste is the nuclei custom of Indian. Till it is attached in the normal life of Indian and ruin dominant over some section. Of course some may claim themselves as progressive thinkers. For me, they also not so impact to against the barbaric Indian society and they are more dangerous than the reactionaries. There are so many of my friends think rational but none one act and they are the people like a seasonal Chameleons. Not only they, but this Indian society is such like. Whatever I may considered, Just as human beings I want everyone with equal rights whether it may Socially or Politically or Economically. And also, whatever the others may consider me, I never bother anyone. I want everyone to realize their self esteem. Definitely I believed that one day everyone realize themselves and through off the useless patches. Once again I tell you, Reservation system will be prevailing, till Untouchability and the Caste system exists.

Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan: One of The Pioneers of The Scheduled Classes Movement of India.

Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan and Dr. Ambedkar

"Both me and Dr. Ambedkar worked as nail and flesh. We both went as representatives of the depressed classes at the second Round conference in London and fought for their political rights."
~ Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan.
Let we tribute to the first degree holder from the Scheduled Classes of India, a brilliant of tongue and Master of Pen, Saviour of downtrodden - Diwan Bahadur Rettamalai Srinivasan. He was educated at the Government Arts College of Coimbatore. He was an Indian Freedom fighter and one of the Pioneers of the Scheduled Classes movement in India. When Dr. Ambedkar was one year old, Thatha Srinivasan organised India's second conference of the then Depressed Classes in Madras. India's first Conference of Depressed Classes was organised by Pandit Iyothee Thass and Rev John Ratnam. He brought the rights that the Scheduled Classes to use the public roads, wells, tanks, etc in erstwhile Madras Presidency (Present-Day Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Kerala, Karnataka and Odisha) in 1924. It was because of Perunthalaivar M. C. Rajah and Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan, for the first time in India the Communal representation for the Scheduled Classes given under the Act of 1919. So the Scheduled Classes were nominated to the Provincial Legislatures from 1920 [ Provincial Legislatures: Madras- 10, CP- 4, Bengal- 1, UP- 1, Bihar- 2 and Bombay- 2 ]. The Government of India Act of 1919 made provisions for the grant of 10 nominated seats to them in the Madras Legislature. Before this, there was no representation to the Scheduled Class in India. He represented the Scheduled Classes of India in the 1st and 2nd Round Table Conferences in London along with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan and Dr. Ambedkar at the First RTC, London.
In November 1930, along with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, he represent the interests of the Scheduled Classes, both favored the extension of minority status to the Scheduled Classes. His participants in the First Round Table Conferences in 1930 was a red letter day in the History of the Scheduled Classes. In this conference George-V hosted the delegates at the Windsor Castle Royal Palace and inviting them by shaking their hands but Srinivasan refused to shake his hands because George-V was the Emperor of India and the Indians were the slaves of the Emperor and Srinivasan was the slave of his slave and more over he was an Untouchable. Then the Emperor came to know what Untochability was. Both Thatha Srinivasan and Dr. Ambedkar were presented their proposals, "A Scheme of Political Safeguards for the Protection of Depressed Classes in the Future Constitution of Self Governing India" at Round Table Conference on behalf of the Depressed Classes. Thiru. Ve. Ka honoured Diwan Bahadur R.Srinivasan with the title of 'Dravida Mani'. Thatha Rettamalai Srinivasan was instrumental for Mr. Gandhi in putting his signature in Tamil in South Africa.

His words: "We are the sons of this soil and our history start from the good old ancient past, but our civil Rights are denied by the invaders. Rights are not given as alms but they must be got by Struggle and fight. We ought to fight for our rights and not expected to be granted by grace of others".
